Check out our whole school Easter blog.
I would like you to write your diary entry about your day in the life of a child miner.
Ensure you use all the facts you learned from the mining workshop and the diary features we have discussed in class.
Also remember you feelings and emotions to describe your day.
I am looking forward to reading all about your day down the mine!
We had a great time around the camp fire on Tuesday afternoon. We spent time collecting wood for the fire, chopping and cutting it to the right size so it would fit in the fire pit. Learning to use the tools to create marshmallow toasting sticks was interesting but tricky work to make sure we used them safely.
Thanks so much to all the parents who have helped over the past few weeks, we just couldn’t have done it without you – we hope you enjoyed spending time in our lovely outdoor garden, even if we did get rather soggy one week!!
Check out the following website with your friends. http://www.endangeredspeciesinternational.org/insects5.html
- What dangers to insects can you find in the website?
- What changes to the environment are impacting on the lives of insects?
Please reply with your ideas. Remember to use capital letters (press the shift button – it is the white arrow pointing up) and full stops in your reply.
Fantastic news Hermione. We are all really proud of your achievements in your gymnastics competition this weekend.
Here is the information about Hermione’s competition:
On Saturday 13th June Hermione took part in her first four piece gymnastics competition at the City of Preston Gymnastics Club where she was competing against gymnasts from other clubs. She did amazingly well and gained first place as overall champion. She also came first on vault and second on bars and beam.
Wow, another busy busy afternoon Year 4. I am so glad it didn’t rain this afternoon so you could make your amazing flags. You all worked really hard in your teams, it was great to see you all enjoying being in our outdoor garden. Take a look at them, which one do you like and why? (Choose one made by a different team please – not your own!)
Our Year 4 den is finally finished (with the help of some super parents – thank you), I think the way that you have finished it off is fantastic. Take a look at the photos below of our completed den and let me know what you think of it. If we made it again, what would you keep the same and how would you improve it?
Just a reminder that if you have any sponsorship money to bring in, it would be appreciated if you could bring it into school by Friday 12th June. Thanks for all your support.
How many different ‘ed’ words can you think of? An OWL for the most interesting ‘ed’ words thought of.
Using the ‘ed’ words that you thought of before, write as many sentences as you can starting each sentence with an expanded ‘ed’ clause as a starter. Take a look at my example below:
Frightened by the tall man, Tom ran straight home to avoid being caught.
Who can write the most interesting sentence starting with an expanded ‘ed’ clause?
